Suze will be starting a new class on Tuesdays in Reading on the 15th March, from 8pm to 9pm. She has put together a weekly mat based class to bring you lots of exercises relevant to the muscles you use on the pole and stretches to increase flexibility. Pole experience is not a necessity for this class, and you don't need to already be a Purity Student to come along.

This is a drop-in style class, meaning you can book on the day up until 6pm either through the website, or by bank transfer (please note enough time needs to be given for the transfer to complete before the class), cash or cheque is not accepted in class. The price is £7 per class (extra 50p for Paypal) or you can book a block of 4 consecutive classes to receive a discount, making it £25 (extra £1 for Paypal).

Jessabelle Polesista and I have been working together on a performance workshop. Tips will be given out on characterisation, themes, costumes, entering the stage, creating your own pole routine and finding what style works best for you.An information pack will be given out on the day, a small basic routine will be taught and you'll learn how to perform it.

Spaces are limited to 10, the cost of the workshop is £40 and you can book through the website, or I can give you bank details.

On a slightly sad note we will be stopping the classes at Godalming, Beth has now got a new job which means she will no longer be working in Godalming but she will still be teaching in Camberley. Thank you to all the students who took classes there and big thanks to Beth for hosting them.

You will now be able to grading's with Purity. This option is available to all students, the grading's will only be held in Reading, but you can work towards them in class. To be a part of the Advancement Accreditation Program you need to become a member of Pole Dance Community, this costs £30 and can be brought through Purity, details can be found here - http://www.puritypoledancing.com/pole-grading-qualifications.html

UK Amateur Pole Performer (UKAPP) are now taking entries for 2011. The heats are located around the UK, don't be afraid to enter, there are many categories from beginner level to the more advance, all they ask is that you are not already a paid pole dance performer (and they do check!). A bit of spinny pole has started to be introduced this year to all of my Intermediate and Advance classes in Reading.

There is an open day at the Camberley venue, Tomlinscote Sports Centre on Saturday 29th January, 10am-2pm, this will be great for those who would like to give pole dancing a go for free!

A production called 'The Naked Truth' will be on at the Camberley Theatre in January.

Spinny Spin Spin Workshop
On Thursday 10th February I will be holding a spinny pole workshop at the Purity Studio in Reading, this will be open to Purity and non-Purity students. The Purity Christmas Showcase will be held at Hotel de Vie on Sunday 5th December 2010. Through word of mouth and Facebook most of the spaces are gone, those ones left are for the performers guests. Please let me know if you would like to come and I can put you on the reserve list in case anyone can't make it. Suze has now taken over the Tuesday nights at the Purity Studio in Reading, as well as the Intermediate class she is also looking at doing a Core and Stretch type class in the New Year.

For those of you who do lessons in Reading you have had the opportunity to do catch up classes if you can't make one of your regular classes. These are the things you need to know about organising a catch up class:

At least 24 hours notice must be given
All catch up classes are subject to availability and not guaranteed as it's not part of the booking policy
Once booked a catch up class can't be moved
It can only be taken on the week you can't attend or the week before and after
You can arrange one catch up class max per booking

Last Class - 16th December 2010 - First class back - 5th January 2011 Some spaces available on Beginners and Intermediates.

Camberley (Mon):

Last Class - 13th December 2010 - First class back - 10th January 2011 We are looking to create an extra Intermediate class very soon at 8.30pm as the 7.30pm one is fully booked. Beginners will be moving to a new time of 6.30pm.

Wraysbury (Mon):

Last Class - 13th December 2010 - First class back - 10th January 2011 New Beginner class starting on Monday 29th November 2010, there are some spaces on the Intermediate classes.

West Byfleet (Mon/Weds):

Last Class - 15th December 2010 - First class back - 6th January 2011 Beginners will be starting on 5th January 2011, there are a few spaces on Intermediates.

Godalming (Tues):

Last Class - 14th December 2010 - First class back - 5th January 2011 Beginner spaces are now available for 8.30pm on Tuesday 4th January 2011, also a couple of Intermediate spaces are available for 7.30pm.

Jason and I have been very busy all this year preparing for our new business venture, we will be taking over a small boutique hotel in Farnham at the beginning of September 2010. Wraysbury & Datchet Changes / Digipole - Testers Wanted

The Datchet and Wraysbury location will be merging into one venue which will be on a Monday evening from 9th August 2010 in Wraysbury. Spaces are available for Beginners and Intermediates.

After my 7 month break I will be taking Purity UK Ltd back from Jason. So from the beginning of August all enquiries regarding all locations will come to me.

I have been doing lots of filming over the past few weeks for my new online pole lessons, Digipole. I am looking for some testers before it goes live, so please do get in touch if you would like to help. You need to have broadband and your own pole at home.

I should be dancing in Cyberdog on Sunday 1st August 1pm-5pm, I am still waiting for that to be confirmed.

A big thank you to all who came to the Purity Summer Pole Jam last Sunday, it was great fun and nice to meet some new faces too. A huge well done to Jade Mcphee for her first ever pole routine. I did a routine too and the video can be found on my blog.

We now have start dates for Camberley, we shall be holding a beginner taster evening on Monday 23rd August and courses will start on Mondays from September 2010.

Unfortunately our instructor Leanne who covers Wraysbury will now be leaving, she has been promoted in her job so she is very excited but also sad at the same time to be leaving, I'm sure you will join me in wishing her all the best with her new job. The location will be continuing so bookings can still be made.

I have started dancing in Cyberdog most weekends (except July), Cyberdog is a clubbing shop based in Camden and sells lots of funky clothes. I will be back in there from August, if you are interested in seeing me perform then let me know and I'll let you know which dates I'll be in there as they vary each week.

Booking Policy

Please note that with the booking policy all classes must be paid for in advance, if you ever have problems with a payment going through then please give us a call to find out, otherwise you might find there is no space for you in the class. Please make sure the payments go through by 4.30pm at the latest on a day of a class to ensure you can get booked on in time.

If you decide not to renew your course booking at the end of a booking period, your space will be re-advertised, and you will not be able to rejoin the course for at least 4 weeks from your last payment date. You can still rebook in this time if your space is available, however, your payment will then be backdated to your last payment due date.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the first Purity Workshop, it was great fun and hard work too. The feedback has been fantastic, I am already planning the next one to be in August. If you have any ideas about what you would like to see at future workshops then do let me know. The next FREE Purity Pole Jam will be on Sunday 4th July, 12:00-15:00 at the Purity Studio in Reading. This is open to all students and friends of Purity, you'll need to have completed at least a beginner course before coming as there will not be direct tuition on the day. The details are now live on the website for the Purity Pole Workshop, this will be held at the Purity Studio on Saturday 5th June and will be £55 for 4 hours of training, 1 x pole tricks class, 1 x pole routine workshop, 30 minutes of strength building for pole, 30 minute Yoga Stretch at the end. New beginner class starting 2nd June at 6.30pm. There are currently some Intermediate spaces on a few classes.

Wraysbury:
Next beginner class will be starting on the 20th May at a later time of 8.30pm.

West Byfleet:
The extra night at West Byfleet will be starting on Wednesday 26th May, Beginners at 6.30pm and Intermediates at 7.30pm. All classes here will be in E14 from Monday 24th May,

Godalming:
New Beginner class starting on the 25th May at 6.30pm, Intermediate spaces are available on 25th May at 8.30pm.

Datchet:
New beginner class starting on 25th May at 7.30pm.

Twickenham:
We are very sorry to say that Lisa will be leaving Purity, which means that our first ever Purity location will be stopping pole Dancing lessons. I will be there on the last class with Lisa doing a 2 hour jam on Tuesday 18th May. If you are not booked on to a current course but would like to do the jam at Twickenham, then please get in touch.

To celebrate UK Pole Dance Day I will be hosting a FREE pole jam at the Purity Studio on Saturday 1st May, 1-4pm. You must have at least completed one Intermediate course before attending. Wraysbury:
Due to the popularity of classes, the new Intermediate class will be starting on Thursday 29th April at 6.30pm. There are also be a beginner class spaces from the 20th May available to book now.

Twickenham:

Godalming:
A new Intermediate class will be starting at 8.30pm from 4th May. Spaces available to book now.

I have found a video from the competition on the 19th March in New York. Our teacher Lisa was very fortunate to of got in to watch it too whilst she was on holiday.

Here is a video of someone called Becca, she was one of the Amateurs...!!!
Becca - I think you will agree she is pretty good on the pole!

We have set a date for the belated Christmas Pole Jam which was cancelled because of the snow. it will now be on Saturday 6th March, 12-2pm at the Purity Studio in Reading. There are a few spaces left which are available only to those currently booked on to a course, please let me know if you would like to come. This is free of charge and there will be 3 teachers giving tuition and some performances too.

We also have a date for the next Purity Pole Fitness Photo Shoot, this will be on Sunday 11th April at the Purity Studio in Reading. you can see some of Jason Parlour's photography on my blog. I will send you more details as we get them including prices and times etc.

I have an announcement to all students of Purity, please note that within your classes run by us you are not allowed to 'teach' each other moves, or execute moves in the class which have not been taught to you. Unfortunately I have had to take action against some of the students who have been trying to do this and also to the ones they have been teaching moves too. If you do see a move you would like to try then please do ask your teacher and they will show you how to do it, or tell you how to build up to it, we do this because it is the safest way to run classes.

Free Styling is being introduced to all intermediate and Advance classes throughout this year, this is a chance to draw out your own unique styles on the pole.

Reading:

I will be starting a drop in class on a Tuesday evening from 2nd March, this will run the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 8-9pm, the cost will be £10 for the hour (£9 to current students), maximum 2 per pole. You can pay on the evening, but as spaces are limited then prior booking is recommended. As long as 2 students turn up then it will run. Must of completed a beginners course before the drop in.

West Byfleet:

We currently have the rare chance of a couple of spaces at Intermediate level, at the West Byfleet venue.

Godalming:

Although our intermediate classes are currently full, we do have a couple of spaces for new beginners.

Wraysbury:

Due to the popularity of classes, were hoping to start up an additional Intermediate class there soon. Please let us know if youre interested so we can put you on the first-to-be-informed list.

Bexleyheath:

Unfortunately, due to a change in personal circumstances with our teacher Mel, classes will no longer be available at this venue.

As Purity has increased so much over the past year I have decided to hand over the day to day running of Purity (UK) Ltd to my husband, Jason Parlour. He'll be managing the bookings for Twickenham, Bexleyheath, Wraysbury, Godalming, West Byfleet and Datchet. Jason has a good understanding of how the pole fitness industry works seeing as we met through pole jams and he is registered with Equity, he has also been involved with Purity over the past year so I'm happy he'll be able to handle 'my baby' well.

The Wraysbury Classes will now be starting back up on Thursday 28th January, spaces are available on the website.

Godamlming will be starting up again on Tuesday 2nd February, Beginner and Intermediate spaces are available through the website.

Unfortunately the Bexleyheath classes are on hold, please do get in touch if you are interested in these classes and we will notify you when we restart them.

Last month I was a judge at Pole Divas finals in Manchester, I have updated my blog to include the videos I could find of the winners, they are definitely worth as watch as it was such a fantastic show.

It’s been a while since my last mailout. So I have quite a few updates!

Purity will be getting a small line of tops with 'Purity' on the front and 'Student' on the back. These are black string vest tops with white writing. If you are interested in purchasing a top please let me know.

READING-
There is a drop in class in Reading on Saturday 11th June at a different time of 1pm, spaces are available, and there is a maximum of 2 students per pole. http://www.puritypoledancing.com/locations/readingberkshire.html

As the Reading classes have been getting very full I will soon be offering Intermediate classes on Tuesday evening. If you are interested in this date the do let me know.

DATCHET-

WRAYSBURY-

Thank you to all who came to the pole jam on the 18th April, we even have an article in the Reading Chronicle this week, its nearly a double page spread with a great write up and lots of photos, it came out on Thursday 23rd April, so do get your copy quick! The Pole Jam Launch Event at Barnehurst Golf Club in Bexleyheath last Tuesday went really well, nice to see so many new faces. Courses start on Tuesday 28th April.
